1. Because the internet is a worldwide thing, many countries have their own domain names. Each of those countries have lots and lots of websites posted under them. The interenewt is growing too fast to handle and keep track of, its decentralized with no center to keep tracl of users activity on a network, and it doesn't have boundaries.
2. TCP/IP is basically the language of the internet. IP means "Internet Protocol". The Internet is defined as the global network that runs over the internet protocol.TCP/IP is important for the success of the internet. TCP builds on the connectionless IP packet transport, to provide a reliable byte stream end to end over the internet.
